【本章教学目的、要求】:

1. Grasping the main idea (teenagers’ idleness and ignorance will

seriously affect themselves and society in general) and structure of the text ( two parts – the author’s concern and his proposed remedy);

2. Learning the way to write a cause-and –effect analysis; 3. Grasping the key language points and grammatical structures in the

text;

4. Conducting a series of reading, listening, speaking and writing

activities centered on the theme of the unit. 【本章教学重点、难点】:

围绕单元主题Coping with an Educational Problem, 开展听说训练,培养学生基本的听说能力。扩大和巩固词汇量,了解和掌握本单元的词汇和短语运用,基本的句子翻译和实用英语写作 --- 训练因果关系的写作,培养学生掌握阅读技巧,并熟练掌握 “while的用法”和 “with + noun.”的用法,培养听说的能力,掌握听说的技巧;为全面提高学生英语综合能力打下坚实基础。 【本章节主要教学要点】: 1) Pre-reading Task
