Vocabulary practice & Supplementary reading

一、教材分析

1.教学内容

本课时系教材本课时系教材《英语基础教程》(2)第一单元的第四课时,包括Vocabulary practice和Supplementary reading,具体内容为:复习巩固本单元所学单词和短语;完成拓展阅读。

2.教学重点、难点

⑴教学重点

复习巩固本单元所学单词和短语。 ⑵教学难点

引导学生学会自我总结的方法。

二、教学目标

1.知识目标

⑴复习巩固本单元所学单词和短语。 ⑵完成拓展阅读。 2.能力目标

a) 引导学生学会自我归纳总结的方法。 b) 熟练拼写重点词汇。

3.情感目标

通过拓展阅读,让学生潜移默化体会到许多事物都具有两面性,家庭娱乐活动也不例外。 正确处理家庭娱乐活动和学习的关系。

三、教学步骤

Step One Revision Vocabulary contest 游戏方法与过程:

(1)教师准备好一些卡片(有的上面写中文,有的写英文,有的画图)。将卡片放入一只不透明的袋子里。5个学生为一组。

(2)让每组的学生轮流上来摸卡片,如果摸到的是写有英文的卡片,则要英译汉;如果是中文,则要汉译英并拼读出来;如果是图片,则要看图说英语并拼读出来。说错者淘汰,坚持到最后的为获胜者。

(设计意图:通过这一活动能帮助学生对于本单元重点词汇和短语进行一个全面的复习并能检查掌握的情况。通过小组之间比赛,激发学生的参与热情。)

Step Two Vocabulary practice 1.Game:

游戏方法与过程:

(1)教师课前准备好两类单词卡片(一类上面写动词,另一类上写名词),并分别放入两只不透明的袋子里。5个学生为一组。 (2)两袋子里装的卡片都是配对的,其中的一个动词和其中的一个名词可以构成一个固定短语。让每组学生轮流上来选择卡片并配对成固定短语,用时最少的组获胜。

(设计意图:通过这一活动能帮助学生对于本单元重点短语进行一个全面的复习并能检查掌握的情况。通过小组之间比赛,激发学生的参与热情。)

2.Complete Activity 15 and Activity 16,then check the answers.

(设计意图:通过这一活动,进一步检查学生对于本单元重点词汇和短语的掌握情况。) 3.Ask some students to make sentences , using the key words and phrases in this unit.

4. Complete Activity 17 Ask the students to complete the sentences, then check the answers. (设计意图:让学生进一步去应用这些重点单词和词组,达到熟练的程度。) Step Three Supplementary reading

Pre-reading: Can you name any family recreational activities? While-reading:

1. T: Now we will read a passage about family recreational activities, read the first paragraph and underline the names of the family recreational activities. 2. Skimming: skim the paragraph and answer the questions. 1). What’s the benefit of climbing the mountain?

2). Which activities may people become addicted to?

3. Scanning: scan the paragraph and judge the sentences.

1).All family recreational activities are beneficial to people’s mental health. 2). Surfing the Internet may help build up children’s confidence.

3). Playing computer games may bring some problems if people are addicted to it. 4).Too many family activities save time and money. Post reading:

(2) New vocabulary and phrases: be beneficial to, reduce stress, feel relaxed, become addicted to, obtain ,communicate with ,get together , do exercise
