在新西兰，人们尽管互不相识，但一见面，双方都要与相鞠躬。如果是客人来访，除了
见面时互相鞠躬外，主人与客人还要互相碰鼻子一至两次，表示亲热和对客人的欢迎。 尼日利亚人的见面礼是各自用大拇指在手上轻轻弹几下，以示问好。
非洲的坦噶尼喀人，在见面时，各自先拍拍自己的肚子，然后鼓掌握手。拍拍肚子表示不愁吃穿，身体健康；鼓掌握手，表示庆贺、祝福。
在摩洛哥，家里有客人来访，主人要敬茶三杯，客人则必须饮完，然后才促膝谈话畅叙家常。
马来西人见面时，则互相把手指并在一起，把手面、手背，轻轻地拍一下，然后把手贴在嘴唇或额角。
刚果人见面里，先伸出两手握几下，然后躬下身子吹几口气。
太平洋某些岛屿上的居民，彼此见了面，互相用中指勾住，然后用力向自己身边拉，表示亲热、友好。
在也门，如果客人来访，主人便往客人身上洒香水。面缅甸人，则向来访的客人身上泼水，当客人告别时，又用水泼他，而客人也可以向主人泼水，相互泼水，表示彼此情深谊长。 2. 握手要注意：握手是现在社会大多数国家相见时最常用的礼节，广泛运用于政要、商要和普通百姓之间。行握手礼时，一般要求主人主动，男士必须光手，女士则可以戴手套。另外，握手不能交叉，也不能一只脚在内一只脚在外。
3. 在做介绍时，应把男士介绍给女士，把年轻者介绍给长者，把低职者介绍给高职位者。被介绍给男士时，女士可选择是否要握手，但是，男士必须等女士伸出手后才能与其握手。
