?safety n.安全、安全性

①safety是由形容词safe加后缀-ty演变而来的。 ②safety belt的意思是“安全带”。 ?allow v.允许 常用的句型:

①allow sb.to do sth.允许某人做某事 ②be allowed to do sth.被允许去做某事 ③allow(doing)sth.允许(做)某事 ?sixteen-year-olds

相当于一个名词,等同于sixteen-year-old children/teenagers。数词和一个相应的名词单数用“-”连接起来,构成合成形容词。
