本单元的主要话题是季节。 A poem about the seasons是牛津译林版初中英语8A Unit7 Seasons Reading第二课时。这是一篇有关四季的优美诗歌,学生在阅读中对季节和天气有一个整体的认知,具备基本的季节变化常识。学生通过细细品读诗歌的韵律,从中感受到季节的美和大自然的奇妙,从而引导他们爱护自然,保护环境。

活动1【讲授】8A Unit7 Reading第二课时教学设计 Procedure

Step 1 Pre-reading

1. Enjoy a short video “Changes of seasons”.

2. Brainstorm: Use adjectives or nouns to describe different seasons. 【设计意图】复习reading中生词,并通过Brainstorm来达到巩固文本内容的目的。 Step 2 While-reading 1. Appreciation Enjoy a video about seasons. Inquiry learning

1) Help them understand the poem better and finish B2. Clear up their difficulties in understanding.

Help them to figure out the characteristics of poetry (rhyme and rhythm) by showing them a Chinese traditional poem “春晓”. Finish B1. 3. Appreciative reading

1) Read the poem together along with the video of seasons. This time, get them to pay attention to the rhyme and rhythm.
